Eisenhower Elementary School celebrated Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month with a parade through the school to ensure everyone feels accepted and celebrated as part of the school community!

Students in self-contained classes marched through the school with their parents, teachers, and Peer Buddies on Friday, April 17, while students in the other classes lined the halls and gave silent applause and thumbs up. The event was to be held outdoors, but a sudden rainstorm kept it inside. The change in plans did not dampen anyone’s spirits, as the hallways lit up with smiles and friendship.
