Posted Date: 03/14/26 (09:00 AM)

Eisenhower Elementary School students and their families had fun at Literacy Night, which featured a variety of engaging activities designed to promote a love of reading and storytelling!

One of the highlights of the event on Thursday, March 5, was the Masked Reader Challenge. Students scanned QR codes placed throughout the event to guess the identities of masked readers as teachers read stories aloud. The interactive challenge added excitement and curiosity as students tried to determine which teachers were behind the masks.

Other fun literacy-themed activities included a spin-the-wheel station where winning students were able to take home a book of their choice. Families had the opportunity to take photos with Ike the Eagle and participate in other engaging activities that celebrated reading.

The event was organized and led by third-grade teachers Jessica Kroeckel and Christina Bubniak, whose efforts helped make the evening a memorable experience for students and families while encouraging a lifelong love of literacy.
