About Me:

This is my seventh year as support specialist for Eisenhower school.  Before becoming a support specialist I taught first grade for ten years, three of those years were here in Piscataway.

K-3 Support Specialist
Support Specialists meet with students who needs extra support with reading.  We meet for 30 minutes a day and work on a variety of skills associated with good reading.  We work closely with classroom teachers. Our goal is to develop confident, independent learners, whether it be for enrichment or basic skills.

We work on many different reading skills, including vocabulary, phonics, word work, writing, and comprehension.  Students are introduced to many authors and a wide variety of books.
